    how to adjust dana 44 3/4 ton axle wheel bearing 1976

    While spinning the wheel tighten the locking nut to take any slack or looseness out of the bearing then back it off 1/4 to 1/2 a turn. With the tire on Grab the top of the tire and the bottom and try to move it in and out  you should be able to notice the very slightest movement. If its to tight you'll burn the bearings up.
