Hard to get an accurate count when so many are pretending to be straight or still "hiding in the closet".

Actually Florida now has the highest gay population in the U.S. last time I heard, the highest in the world. Most of the year the weather is great as long as you don't mind the humidity. Hurricanes are another problem, but where ever you go there will be plenty of pro's and con's.

It has the some of the best fishing in the U.S., and a huge diversity in the population. Many people in S.FL are from Cuba, S. America, the Islands, it makes for a nice mix cultures with beautiful beaches and wonderful restaurants.

The economy is somewhat seasonal though, nice place to visit, don't want to live there anymore.
The traffic is horrible, especially in Miami and Fort Lauderdale.

And to some of you here's another fact. Many of the gays moved to CA or FL from their eastern/midwestern and southern cities respectfully. I was born in SF and only knew one who was a transvestite. He worked at Pinoccio's...........a dinner club and show place in San Francisco's marina district near fisherman's wharf.
