The beaked sea snake is generally considered to be the worlds most dangerous sea snake. Blamed for many deaths in southeast Asia, in particular, it normally grows to about one meter long and hunts catfish in shallow estuaries and tidal creeks.
However, the inland taipan is by far the most venomous snake on Earth. A single bite from the snake contains enough venom to kill as many as one hundred human adults. Native to central Australia, the taipan has no record of human-related deaths because of the availability of antivenom. "Fifty times more poisonous than the Indian Cobra," says Steve Irwin.

I visited Queensland, and went to a school in the bush, and was amazed to note the large signs posted on the gates to the school yard about "snake identification and safety procedures". The headmaster, a cousin, told us that each year, they remove deadly snakes from that school-yard, it was fairly routine. Also, that 9 of the 10 worlds most deadly snakes came from Australia.

Country Bumpkin is correct, the 'Inland Taipan' is the worlds most venomous snake, they live in a small remote area on the W.A./ S.A. border which is just visited by Geologists, there is no anti- venom as it would be useless as most snakes are not fatal till an hour or two depending on the snake, the inland taipan kills in minutes, even new born taipans have enough venom in their bite to kill 10 men, so to the overseas friends the likelihood of being bitten by this snake is zilch, it's the other nine you have to be wary of. :) lol.
