Do not use spaces between words. If you are using "yahoo" for your provider, you might choose your name:
Brittney@yahoo.com (the @yahoo.com is standard) The first part, where you put your unique address, can be almost anything that someone else hasn't already used. You may have to be "Brittney113" if there are 112 other Brittney's out there. THEN, you could add your last name and use an "underscore" to separate:
Brittney_Surname@yahoo.com (There IS an Underscore between Brittney/Surname: Brittney_Surname
