    how do you find the code for the remote control for a ceiling fan?

    My new house has remote control ceiling fans in just about every room.


    The remotes don't need to be "programed" like a garage door opener does.


    They all respond to the LOW MEDIUM HIGH and OFF buttons.


    Try changing the batteries (9volt for me) and see if that works first.

    Look in the book that came with the ceiling fan.  If you can't find the book, go the manufacturers' website.

    on the remote look where the battery is under it you will see the code....to change      it you have to set there and on the top whre the fan in installed at the cieling.....................
