I loved the house they were living in when they moved to Connecticut.

There is only one thing that will keep me from having ice cream...  my wife!

Old Wife's tale. I heard that when I was a kid. Never eat fish and drink milk. If anything, I would think it would leave a terrible after taste in your mouth but I don't believe it's  Certain foods do not go together well.  Years ago when my family owned an Italian restaurant, we also served mixed drinks. The Pena Colada was becoming popular.  so we added it do to the request we started getting complaints on the food, we could not figure out what the problem was, we had to give away meals to unsatisfied customers. Finally, we noticed a pattern..  When ever we got a complaint, it was a customer drinking Pena Coladas.  This drink does not go well with Italian food! It goes perfect with fish though. makes sense, it's a tropical drink, lots of sugar and the pineapple is what was killing us.  We removed it from the menu and all was well.   also, medications will mess up your pallet.

No problems. In the UK there is a restaurant (the Fat Duck) which serves snail porridge and egg and bacon ice cream.

Yes, the ice cream will cool down the tabasco on the fish.

If the fish that is sitting in the bottom of  your stomach does not mind the ice cream landing on its head.... I guess it should be okay.

the Eskimos ( now called the Inuits )  make some kind of desert called fish ice cream. I'm serious ! and they make seal blubber ice cream. They think it's delicious !
