No, you should not make a trip with him. Break away, find someone new. Find out why you're so needy that you would try to buy a friend, then allow him to hurt you.

In life there are two types of people. Givers and takers. Sadly some givers aren't doing it for the right reasons and takers can see the vulnerable ones. I would bet my arse that he expects you to pay for the trip. Pull away from this man and if he comes to you with a giving hand and shows you appreciation, then maybe let your guard down. You are questioning his intentions in your question so you know deep in your heart the answer here. A true friend that wants to be a good friend does not continuously take from you. There must be balance in the give and take.
