Actually, look back at your history and you will see that this far from being the most turbulent time of our country. Just to name a few, the depression which was far worse economically, World War Two and the Nazi and Russian death squads, World War One, the Civil War in which such a large number on our people died. And there was political turmoil far worse than today in each of those episodes. Today is different in that we are inundated with news and information 24/7 because of the rapid technoligical advancement. It's an infusion of information that people are unable to digest effectively. Our politics is pretty much working exactly as it is supposed to, with the tea party causing both parties to address the necessary debt. Even though it seems that both sides have dug in their heels and refuse to cooperate, nothing remains static forever and neither will this.

I understand your anguish as most of all do. Government has failed us and it is caused by foolish use of the Taxpayer Dollar. We have become so comfortable that we haven't paid too much attention to who is doing what and why. Now that our economy is failing and people are hurting financially, we start to wake up.
No sir... the government and all of its politicians know exactly what they have done. We were just so Big that they didn't think it would all come apart so fast. What we didn't need is this president coming into office like a child in a candy store and spending foolishly. For years, taxpayer dollars have been declining and in trouble, due to freud, entitlements given without merit, foreign aid, and trade that cost the American Industry to disappear.
