Police report : They come out listen to your story and write things down ,and go away . Then you go down later and see if they filed it so you can pick it up . takes as long as two weeks . Maybe more . Small Claims court or landlords court ,costs about 150.00 maybe more to do the paper work. Then you must hire a process server to serve the papers maybe 50.00 more . You will go to court and that will take several hours there is lost wages time and parking to consider. Then if you win and get a judgement its still up to you to collect. More time !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The answer to your question is yes you can do all the things you mentioned . My question to you is are the value of these things worth it ????

the stuff is worth about a thousand dollars and i have text messages that i saved where she states she will return my stuff or buy it. I told her in text messages my stuff isnt for sale but she insistes she is buying my stuff for 400 dollars. then she says i can get it and changes her mind again and says she is keeping it. she is a grown women but i know her mom and her mom says she is street smart and will figure out a way to screw me.
Never a borrower or lender be i guess.
