The more scientist lean, the more they know there has to be a God. There are to many unexplainable questions.

I disagree with Daisy. I think that religion is in decline globally. In europe, for example, church attendance is down in most courntries. Religion tends to remain high in third world countries with lower education levels. The exception is the U.S. , here religious attendance remains high, but the percentage of athiest, agnostics, and secular humanist is rising rapidly. Science in no way supports the belief in god. In fact, it's exactly the opposite. As science explains more and more of our natural world and the universe there is a slow,but corresponding decline in church attendance.  Religious belief is arbitrary, by that I mean, it is a belief system that has no suporting evidence what so ever.  No matter how hard the religious try to defend their beliefs it still boils down to unsubstansiated opinion with no supporting data, evidence, or science.

So, yes I think that science will affect religion in the future by forcing a slow but steady decline in the religious.

Both science and religion should search for the truth and goodness that seeks the greater good for the most persons. People's spiritual needs can only be met by a belief in the divine and a connection with their higher power. Science as distilled truth has the potential to do more for peoples welfare in the future. than current belief systems. so many persons will believe more in science than religion in the future. unless religion finds a new paradigm to unify and support new discoveries.
