In my instance, I can say I was born a lesbian. I never chose to be one, it's just who I am and always have been. All gays that I have ever met have said the same. There is no logic in believing someone would choose to be something they are not nor were never meant to be. Yes, even gays are logical and rational people, no matter what some may think.Heterosexuals will say it's a choice, perhaps it was for them if they experimented with it but that would be just the sex act, not the love that comes along with it, Homosexuality goes beyond the sex act. It is attraction and love of another human being. Deep love, committed love. Something that one can not just make up or pretend about. No, I will never agree that it's a choice. It is a life, not a lifestyle.

Both. There are some people who live their whole lives as straight and then maybe 20 years later, they find that same sex who they have an attraction to.
Some people feel like from birth, they knew they were attracted to the same sex. (Don't know how. Id give it up until at least age 5 when they know but hell, who's counting)...

I knew at 5 I was different. I just didn't understand how I was different. Puberty showed me when I found myself attracted to girls and not boys.
Presumably their offspring are more likely to be gay.
