Milk is a white liquid produced by the mammary glands of mammals. It is the primary source of nutrition for young mammals before they are able to digest other types of food. Early-lactation milk contains colostrum, which carries the mother's antibodies to the baby and can reduce the risk of many diseases in the baby. It also contains many other nutrients.[1]
As an agricultural product, milk is extracted from mammals during or soon after pregnancy and used as food for humans.

Not to confuse you, but:
Coconut milk is the liquid that comes from the grated meat of a brown coconut. The colour and rich taste of the milk can be attributed to the high oil content. Most of the fat is saturated fat. Coconut milk is a very popular food ingredient used in Southeast Asia.

Milk is the marvel of nature which is intended to nourish the young of the mammals. In some, like cattle, it is aprox. 4 % fat (cream) while in the whale, it is 40% fat. The milk of a lactating woman is aprox. 6 % fat. All mammals produce a specialized milk called colostrum, directly after the birth. This carries extra nutrients and immunity from the mother. Milk is considered the most complete food! Could you imagine cookies without milk?
