    what is a faith journey

You've apparently just begun it.  It starts with questions, and seeking answers.  Questions like:  Why am I here?  Is there a God?  Can I know him?

God says, (in the good book - the Bible) "Search for me and you will find me, that is, when you search for me with all your heart."  He also says, "taste and see that the Lord is good."  Most people won't even taste.

There are many "faiths" or religions.   Your journey is a journey for truth, a journey that can turn out to be religion only (and does not satisfy), or one that can lead to happiness and joy - for this life and for always.

From a Christian perspective, my recommendation is to turn off the TV preachers, and start reading the Bible.  Start with  the book of St. John in the New Testament, and ask God to reveal himself to you.  If you are honest with Him and with yourself, He will show you the way on your journey one step at a time.  Keep traveling.  Keep asking.

    Thank you.
