Is Baseball still America's favorite pastime?

I don't think so. Kids today have many other interests and the game is too slow. The fact that the game is dominated by Latin American players is a prime example. Any thaoughts?

Well baseball is still my favorite........

Well I hate to put your national game down BUT, the most poular "pastime" surely must have something to do with two people, a big bed. (or a small one will do)There would be more people "playing" this game than any other. Had you asked what was the favourite "sport" my answer would have been different. I must confess I don`t regard most of the professioal sports as "sport" they are a business, Two teams on a vacant block of land that was sport.

good comment peoplelover a TU for that

My great grandma loved to watch it on tv, but to me it's like watching paint dry. Fun to play in a beer league but that's probably illegal this year with the bats being dangerous and the possibility of explosive baseballs.

I love baseball,i don't watch too much of it on TV other than the playoff's,i live in Cleveland so i can alway's pick up a cheap ticket seeing that we stink..LOL,just kidding GO TRIBE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was in Cleveland to see the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame, and stopped in your stadium to catch a game. NICE!

I have to agree with you. Watching baseball is painful. Anyone who can sit in front of the television and watch nine innings needs to get a life.

It is at my house, can't tear my husband away from the TV when the Red Sox are playing. Then again, when the Celtics, Bruins or Patriots play it's the same way.
It's more than likely soccer here in Chicago as there has been a huge influx of Hispanic folks moving here and they do love their soccer games.
NO THE NFL PASSED IT YEARS AGO. BASEBALL COULD DO SOMETHINGS TO GAIN GROUND BUT THEY REFUSE TO UPDATE THE GAME SO IT WILL CONTINUE TO DIE A SLOW PAINFULL DEATH.

I think football has become Americas pastime.GO STEELERS

I enjoy the game at the park. ATT park in San Francisco is beautiful. I've never seen the grass so smooth as there. It looks like it's solid green similar to a golf field. I've been to games at Candlestick and have really enjoyed them too. It's a great park for viewing. Sat above third base and could see almost every play in the game. The game is in itself a place where one can relax and enjoy what goes on and root for his/her team. You are supposed to relax and enjoy and watch the guys try to hit the ball from those star pitchers. And, of course, raise hell to get your team to win.

I believe more US children now play soccer than baseball. For me it is College football and a close 2nd is pro-ball.
Do not for get the Asian countries w/ the Latin ones. Asian countries who we taught how to play baseball, Japan, Taiwan, Thailand etc...

Our favorite pastime is now celebrity watching and bashing.

The problem with baseball, is that the game is way too slow. It starts in Little League and works its way to the Major Leagues. That is why America needs all those fancy stadiums, with the numerous amenities to entertain them during the game.

For Sure! Baseball always has been and always will be!

If the NFL strikes then yes...sadly I think the NFL has passed Baseball up. Something tells me that will be changing.

YES IT IS THE USA'S ORIGINAL SPORT
