    can a check be deposited into an acount without a signiture on the back

    just put deposit only on the back & there should be no trouble

    not in our country The UK NO and we never endorse our chqs on the back

    Some banks still do this... The check is endorsed wit ha stamp "for deposit only"...... If the check is made to one of thier customers... However, many banks now require a signature.

    Sometimes I forgot to endorse my checks at the back and deposit at ATM.  They are accepted probably becasue the amount is not large and I am a valued customer with my bank.

    I think most banks probably will as long as it's payable to you and it's going into your account.
