Joe, As Ms Sinclair says, go to a marriage counselor. Apparently at one time you were happy, you must go back to that time and find out what did make you happy then and capture it again. take a trip, go dancing, do some things you did when things were right. Paint a room together, just rekindle that lost love, its still there you just gotta stir the fire a bit, it'll flame right up.

Why? Either go to a marriage counselor or split up.
joe, what can I say? I here where you're coming from. I don't know what vce means but I'm guessing it costs money... It's causing you BOTH worry. She likes the company of family and you are the opposite. In a way I'm the same, though my problem is pain from an old injury that forces me to lead a quiet life. We stay together because I don't hold him back... I have to say I do trust him utterly not to go with other women... I do encourage him to accept invitations that I can't. Would your wife accept you doing that? 26 years is a long time to spend in a trap & I don't think she should ask so much of you. The problem with a break-up, if it comes to that, would be the business I should think. Could the two of you survive financally alone?
Can't say I go for counsellors... splitting up should be a last resort... I go with Vinny, but what he says makes me wonder how much time you do spend together. If you've got kids, organise child care. If that costs too much to go out... a walk is free... it doesn't have to be a fancy dinner. Or are you both working full-time and getting stressed out, tired, hardly in the place at the same time? Everybody gets leave. Try suggesting you take it together to go dancing, or painting walls.
