    how do I make crispy home made pickles?

    You need to make brine pickles and not the canned type. They aren't cooked which means they are crisp and don't get soggy from cooking in the canner. We buy packages of the mix from stores around our area and buy big plastic buckets from Lowe's or Home Depot (they have to have covers).
