    HIPAA (Health Insurance Probability and Accountability Act of 1996) gives you rights to your medical records.  If your doctor does not comply with your request, call your local HIPPA office.

    Yes patients do have a right to obtain their medical records at least in Canada. Doctors are obliged by law to supply you with a copy of your medical records if you request them and pay a reasonable fee.


    Unfortunately some times they are very reluctant to to supply you with them especially if malpractice is suspected. if that is the case good luck1
