My dog has started peeing in the floor although she is four years old and house trained. This is not an everyday occurance but quite often and seems to be when she is mad at us for something or doesn't get her own way. What could be the reason for this?

It could be behavioral but she might have a urinary tract infection. Have that checked first before you decide it's behavioral.

Before any other advice, please check to see if she has a UTI as I mentioned above. I'd hate that she got in trouble for something she could not control.

Sounds like your dog is acting up, just like a child, (but in different way) when it does not get its own way. I had a cat, and when he didnot get his own way, used to pee in one of my shoes, any shoe.  Animals are smart.

have the same problem. trying to get attention. i have 2 cha. (do not know how to spell) if i show more attention to one the other will show out.  get on to the one peeing, instead of givng in. BUT i tell tne one peeing i love them. and pay a little attention but not so much, and she will stop if they know they are goint to get attention & LOVE.
