The only way to have an e-mail ordinate in one place and have its IP Address look like it came from someplace else is to find a proxy site that originates where you want it to "LOOK" like it came from. In your case Rhode Island.
I've used proxy servers a few times to mask who I was on web sites I was booted from.
Have NO CLUE where the proxy site was located. Good luck.
