Can a failing or bad liver be repaired by using a piece or part of someone's good liver or does the entire liver have to be replaced with a good one?

Yes, a part can, but depends on the amount of liver destruction. Often times, simply detoxing a liver will bring it back to normal over time, again depending on the amount of destruction. Milk Thistle supplement is an excellent detoxifier.
