    how many watts does it take to sufficiently power one 12" sub?

    I am wanting to install a simple new sound system for my suburban. I want to know how much power is enough. I don't have a lot to spend but i want to make sure I end up with an amp with enough power. Also any bargain car stereo sites would help.

        make sure u have a good box,ported . 200 watts, no flea market .Rockford Fosgate amplifier is
