    Most chainsaws run on regular gasoline. However, you should read the book on it. Most chainsaws operate on gasoline that requires an oil mixture. It means you add a special oil (you find it in the hardware). It is the same for outboard boat motors and some motorcycles. You should make "absolutely" sure that your chainsaw doesnt require this blend before you add gasoline. If it does and you don't use it, it will blow the motor of the chainsaw.
