I was not raised in or around a church.. as a matter of fact I always thought the Bible was a fairy tale.. kinda like snow white. After reading it and other text. I came to realize there was something to it ... I then saught out a church that could help me understand same thing that i did not....ppl really were not happy with my questioning every aspect of a faith they took so blindly. But I am convinced that I loved by God that jesus was born of a virgin and that he die on the cross so that I may be forgiven. AND LORD KNOWS I NEED TO BE FORGIVEN. I believe he dead and rose again... I became a believer when I was 20 yrs old.

I was saved and sanctified in Feb. 1988. It was at a revival service at The First Church of the Nazarene, with evangelist Laddie Henderson preaching. Although he was a great evangelist when I came to this service I was having all kinds of problems and had decided to go to the altar as soon as the altar call was made and I don’t even remember the message.
I just know that I needed to make some changes and could not wait for the message to end so I could go and ask God to forgive me and save me. When the altar call was made I was the first one there and I know several people also came forward so the message must have been good. I was saved at that time and sanctified a few weeks later under the leading of the pastor.
I know some non church people might not understand some words used here. If you don’t look them up, you will learn something anyway.

Jenn brings up a good point. Christians need to understand and defend their faith properly. Christian faith is not blind faith. Our faith rest in Jesus Christ. Our faith is based on knowledge of truth given to us by God through the Holy Spirit. I live by faith in the Son of God, faith, because I cannot see Him, yet I know Him by the Spirit He placed within me. True Christians are "born again", given the Spirit of Christ that they may know the Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost.

If one does not know for sure that Jesus Christ dwells in them, then they have a religion void of a relationship with God.

About age ten I was listening to a Billy Graham crusade on TV that my dad was watching. We got about three chanels back then (1973). I heard the gospel of Jesus Christ preached from Billy and prayed to receive God's forgiveness and gift of eternal life that night before bed.

Faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the word of God. All who call upon the name of the Lord (Jesus) shall be saved. I heard, I believed, I called, I received the Holy Spirit of God.

Jesus said, "If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall [your] heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?"

I have always believed from as long as I can remember. probably before that. I can't honestly explain any of it I just know. I know there are argument for and against and that is where free will comes into it. people who do not believe have as much right to disbelieve as those who do believe, that is the will of God. No man can change that. He gave us all, from the beginning of mankind to the last man who stands on this earth to believe in what we will. When horrible things happen we cannot accept this. But we have to because it is his will. Not ours. He believes in us the believers and the non believers so spend more time not worrying about others but pray for them then one day one person who disbelieves might just ask. Is it true?. Then your prayers just might save one soul. What better testiment to your life then to stand before God with the soul your prayers save. It does not matter that they do not believe God knows that you do, and it will be your prayers that will be answered.

Its too bloody complicated for me,all this cometh and goeth stuff, it does my head in, like hymns what the blazes is that about, half off it does'nt make a blind bit off sense to me, for goodness sake some off you christian folk get a bloody grip off yourselves and come live in the real world with real people.
