    real-estate law in MN

We signed a 2 year contract with our realtor. He is doing nothing and we want to get out of it. I heard he can only enforce it for 6 months. Is that true?

Why would you sign a two year contract? I never heard of anyone doing this. Typically it is for 3 to 6 months at the most. There should be a statement in the contract that he/she will perform certain acts and if not, then the contract can be voided or sue for breach of contract. Call a real estate lawyer and tell them of your predicament and ask what you should do. You can also call the Realtor Association and BBB and complain.
