Get a carb kit for your specific carb (call the dealer with the numbers off your carb and also engine), get a Red can of CRC carb cleaner, Dissemble the carb, spread the parts out on your bench, if it's an aluminum body I wouldn't suggest soaking it in a card solution, but take your CRCand spray in every hole you can see. Spray the parts that you aren't going to replace from the carb kit. Wipe, scrub, use rags, scrub pads, tooth brushes, small wire brushes. Some carbs can be very finicky take your time. Most of all make sure all passages are clear. Your CRC will have a small straw to attach to the nozzle. Use it.
