If the public won't get involved in "this" election, forget it. Most people are uninformed (I call them stupid) . "No matter what I say, nothing will change" attitude is what we have to get over. We each make a difference, there is power in numbers. If your politically ignorant talk to someone who isn't. This is our future going down the toilet. Forget your pride, admit your a political idiot, get involved and make a difference.

I think by getting involved and discussing the issues with your friends, plan on going together to vote on election day. Mostly being aware where the candidates stand on the issues would be a great start.

If you don't know where your candidate stands on the issues that are important to you, please find out and be an educated voter.
A $100.00 fee for not voting would ensure poor people would vote. A 10% income tax surcharge for not voting would ensure tax payer participation but if the first part were not included the poor would not be urged to vote. I like the idea because the penalty for not voting at present is poor representation in government.

Thanks- some good ideas that just need to be put into action. Somethings got to be changed and it's going to take everyone's vote so there's the will of the people instead of by special interests and wealthy individuals from each party Perhaps extending the voting period and some penalty along with internet voting No excuses ....the biggest problem. people need to wake up and think what's at stake. I hope it's not too late.. .
