The trip was amazing...sorry I didn't see your question until now. Been busy catching up now that we are home. Peru is an amazing country. Very old and very beautiful. The people there are so hard working and have so little. The scenery was awe inspiring. Machu Picchu is just breath taking and very steep, hard to believe they were able to build such an amazing place so high up. The Amazon jungle was beyond anything I could have imagined. The sounds in early morning were completely different at night as the creatures singing were different.It was as if the jungle was always singing. The banana tree leaves were big enough to make a hammock for two. We saw monkeys, camen, weird looking rodents, huge spiders, scorpions, many poisonous ants,parrots. We are glad to be home but now home seems to have a new feel to it. We have realized how spoiled we are here and lucky. I recommend this country to anyone able to go, it changes your perspective and I pray we never take for granted what we have here ever again.
