While one may have the knowledge of calculus, such a person may be entirely incapable of grasping larger issues and articulating knowledge. Often those who are endowed with mathematical skills, lack the ability to conceptually grasp world events.
History is a wonderful platform for other endeavors including the legal profession, archaeology, political science, archeology and a variety of other disciplines. You will find that many in the legal profession majored in some form of history.
How many math teachers have written accomplished works such as 'The Twelve Cesars' or countless other works such as the following.

That said, little question that gas prices could be dramatically reduced if Obamavich and congress would circumvent the environmentalists and permit a massive move for independence. However, that will not happen. Control of our economy has been transferred away from the people to the beginning of a world order. You can be sure Obamavich is party to that agenda.
