Thanks for asking JDB. A few days ago, we were getting the smoke from both directions....British Columbia (West) and Nova Scotia (East).  Today, the wind is blowing in the right direction (for my area) and clearing a lot of the smoke away from us. However, we are still under a warning about poor air quality. We are in serious need of rain in most parts of Canada and supposedly it will rain here this weekend. I've never heard of so many fires burning in Canada all at the same time. It's a difficult time for people, especially for those with respiratory issues.

Yep. I live right next door to the wild, wild west. The problem, according to a lot of Americans, is not guns but mental illness. Apparently, no other country in the entire world has people with mental illness!? And....many people need AR-15s in order to be safe!? That way, if you have a mob of 20 people chasing you, you can get rid of all of them at once. <eye roll>

Gaol? You mean jail? Donald Trump is guilty of many crimes but for his entire life, he has been able to get others to do his dirty work. THEY go to jail but he always seems to come through every accusation, every trial, every wrong doing, without so much as a slap on the wrist. He is very simply, a criminal. Do I think he'll go to jail this time? Highly unlikely. Some of his "followers" will but still, no one will care.

In addition, I wonder where Melania is these days. She sure keeps a low profile. Hmmm....

My favorite is my rocking chair. It has a design of 'fancy swirls' on the back and some other carvings on the arms and legs. The seat is made of a leather inset fastened by beautiful screw nails. It is well over 100 years old. Love it! I will also add that it is very comfortable to sit in!

I haven't seen it yet but I certainly want to. I think it's been here and gone. I'll have to wait until they show it on television I guess.
